Han Wang is the CEO and founder of Paladin Cyber. Han attended UC Berkeley on an ROTC scholarship for his Undergrad and then Stanford for his Master’s in Computational Mathematics and Engineering. He has worked for DARPA, and Lawrence Livermore Laboratory while serving in the Army Reserves. Deployed to the Middle East in 2016 as the commander of an Army cyber security field team, Han has completed 13 missions across 7 countries in defense of US Army networks. Returning home in 2017, Han founded Paladin Cyber to bring comprehensive cyber protection to small and medium businesses.
Jane is the CEO of Optimity, an ML-enabled digital platform for insurers to engage with their policyholders via white-labelled apps. These apps provide personalized support for users throughout their life journey, using positive daily micro-interactions to improve their health and wealth. The platform boosts persistency, and improves sales conversion for cross-selling life insurance. Prior to Optimity, Jane worked in global clinical trials as a risk specialist innovating in digital engagement for patients in EU, Asia and North America. She also spent time as a management consultant using segmentation profiling and data-analytics to guide sales optimization strategies for big pharma.

Mark Watson invested in Argo Group’s predecessor company, Argonaut Group, in 1998, joined its Board of Directors in 1999, and has served as its CEO since 2000. Before leading Argo Group, he was a founding partner of venture capital firm Aquila Capital Partners, and EVP and member of the Board of Directors of Titan Holding Inc., a NYSE-listed company. From 1989 to 1991, Watson was an Associate Attorney with Kroll & Tract. He graduated with a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and a J.D. from University of Texas, School of Law. Eric has responsibility for marketing & sales analytics and training content & deployment for State Farm agents, team members, agent interns and field leadership at State Farm, the largest personal lines property and casualty insurer in North America, supporting over 17,000 agents across the US and Canada. Eric has held positions in nearly every aspect of database & direct marketing over his 30 years in the industry, including predictive modeling, marketing research, contact strategy, list management, test design and reporting, catalog layout, print production, database management, and even marketing systems development while in IT. Eric joined State Farm in July 2000 as assistant vice president, customer insights, Marketing. He was promoted to his current position in April 2007. Before coming to State Farm, he was vice president of FCB Direct in Chicago, and previously was senior database marketing manager for IBM, responsible for marketing analytics for IBM’s worldwide database marketing group.
As Sr. Direct of Channels and Partnerships for Comcast Xfinity, Dave leads the company’s initiatives with emerging 3rd party partners in areas such as P&C/Home Owners insurance, home warranty and in-home services delivery. This role includes shaping corporate and product strategy as well as day-to-day execution of these partnerships. Prior to joining Comcast, Dave had a 25 year startup career predominantly focused on internet technologies, and in particular, Internet of Things. Over Dave’s entrepreneurial career, he has been on teams that have raised collectively over $24MM in venture and strategic capital as well as had an exit to a public company. Dan’s depth of enterprise experience starts earlier, when he worked six years with Palantir. There, Dan was a core engineer on Palantir version 1.0 and later transitioned to run Palantir’s partnerships, plus several deployments. Dan Woods holds a masters of science in computer science from Stanford University, where he was published in artificial intelligence (ISMB ‘Best Paper’ 2006). Zao is a proponent of technology-led innovation in new retail propositions and business models, with a focus on the insurance industry. His interests and expertise range from artificial Intelligence and data science to cryptocurrencies, insurtech, and fintech. Prior to joining Celent, Zao was a consultant at Oliver Wyman, with a focus on retail distribution and analytics. Some of his engagements included advising a retailer on digital transformation, using machine learning to drive decision-making and forecasting for a Chinese e-commerce player, constructing analytical tools for an Australian telecom player to set sales targets ,and identifying greenfield retail opportunities for an Asian airline, with a focus on customer engagement. Elsewhere, Zao was engaged in post-merger integration, operational process redesign, and organisational optimisation, as well as commercial due diligence, benchmarking, trend identification, and market landscaping. Zao holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor’s degree from Imperial College London in Mathematics with Statistics for Finance. Dustin Yoder is a Life Insurance InsureTech entrepreneur with a passion for the next generation of insurance sales and policyholder engagement. Rick Zullo is a Founding Partner of Equal Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund based in New York. Prior to Equal, Rick was an investor at Lightbank, an early-stage venture fund based in Chicago, where he led investments in Riskmatch (acquired by Vertafore), Vettery (acquired by Adecco), Neumob (acquired by CloudFlare), Expel, Catalytic and several other insura companies still in stealth. Rick is on the investment committee for NUSeeds and previously worked with investment firms Foundation Capital, Bowery Capital and Lightview Capital. Rick began his career as a strategy consultant at Deloitte and has a MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School.
